I would like to suggest that the Road Board and community find either another volunteer or hire a website professional to manage the website.
Skillsets required: website content and organization development, and website technical management and design.
1) Background: the Road District never had a website until Whitney Lowe offered - as a community member, not board member - to put one together for the community, free of charge. There is no mandate of the Special Districts of Oregon for the Road District to maintain or have a website.
2) Current Need: the website has proven to be a desirable and wanted form of communication for the community. Community members have expressed ideas and desires to improve upon the website and expand it even more.
3) Website Needs: the website is no longer a simple page, it is a full-blown, multiple-page enterprise. It is no longer a project that is suited to just one volunteer.
4) Volunteer(s) Needed: At least one, if not two, more people need to be found that can work together as a team to further develop the website. Lee Lucas and Annie Wittenburg have previously assisted Whitney in design ideas and content creation for the website. Annie is now gone. Another helper would be great to have to further website development so it meets the community's needs.
5) Professional Website Manager & Developer: Another option is to hire a professional to take over the website. A website committee could be formed of at least 2-3 people to advise and produce content for the website manager person.
* Does anyone know anyone in the neighborhood who has these skillsets and some time?
* What are people's thoughts on this?
I will be presenting these thoughts to the Road Board at the next meeting.
Thank you for listening.

I think it is an optimal idea, as going forward with this board and future boards, they should all be aware of reading and using it. Great idea in my opinion.
