It is being contended by Elise that no one will volunteer for the board while simultaneously Nyle is calling me “ignorant” and Whitney is claiming I can’t get along with others and am not qualified to serve on this EXCLUSIVE, narrow minded Board. Here are absolute FACTS: any new board coming in will be working within a budget deficit north of 35k because of this boards legal fees. This Board attacks Glenn Brown at every turn. Facts are, Glenn and I want different outcomes , Kerry and I want different outcomes, I want gravel, they want a hard surface, the reason I very easily get along and communicate with these folks is that we care about the process, we care how funds are gathered, we care about a legal vote. It’s not about bullying and getting our way. It’s about being a responsible district and not taking peoples money without their knowledge or permission It’s about getting more than one bid, it’s about long term road maintenance and fiscal responsibility. Deschutes County has laws, Oregon has laws. You can’t just have money, get on a board and throw your weight around to get your way. I’m very qualified to be on the board, so is Kerry, Glenn, Risa, Tonya, Dennis…. I don’t care if I’m on the board, I care about right or wrong. Four years of fighting, money thrown away, emotions running high and two really bad sections of road that are still a mess. They should’ve been repaired 4 years and 35,000.00 dollars ago. Whitney always wants to “clarify” or to withhold information he deems incorrect…..The board wants to control the outcome of a ballot measure, that’s not how it works you can’t keep it off a ballot until you know the outcome. The board spent 35k on legal fees but won’t spend money on a ballot because they can’t predict the outcome ahead of time. Glenn did a lot of leg work on a ballot measure and ironically he wants what Nyle wants, pavement, but he wants it funded properly.
